Atani – Tool to Create Professional Looking Animations
Review by on
In most cases the functionality a software application provides is obvious from its name. In this case it is not immediately obvious what the application can do for you. Can you figure out what Atani does just by reading the name? Of course you cannot – so I am going to have to spell out what this application can do. Here goes:

Atani is an application that allows you to create a GIF of AVI from a static image. Or to put it in other words, it is a tool that lets you create animations. There are several things you will like about this application. What I liked the best is that the application is quite easy to use – you need only go through 5 steps to create a GIF or AVI. To my mind, not having to contend with a difficult to use app is always a nice thing.

From a technical point of view you will like that Atani provides support for various file formats. To be more precise, it provides support for BMP, GIF, JPG, ICO, PNG and images created with an embedded graphic editor. Then you are going to like that Atani lets you add a long list of effects to an image and the fact that you have a selection of more than 70 filters at your disposal.

Before you go get Atani, take a look at these technical bits and pieces:
Download – the download weighs in at little over 1MB. This means that even on a less than spectacular internet connection, it will only take a moment to get Atani off the web and onto your computer.
Installation – according to the application’s developer, Atani provides support for Windows 8/Me/2000/XP/Server 2003/Vista (at the time of writing this).
Limitations – You can use Atani free of charge only during a trial period of 30 days. While using the trial version of Atani, the application will put a watermark on the output.

Pros
  • Lightweight download size
  • Easy to use
  • Various effects and filters
  • Add sound
  • Preview feature

Cons
  • Free to try (30-day trial, watermark)
